The Essence of Mystery: Explained

Mystery is nothing more than nuanced understanding. Consider, for instance, the Welsh language, Cymraeg.

Welsh Cymraeg

Cymraeg is a Celtic language spoken mainly in Wales, Cymru, by about 582,000 people. Additionally, there are Welsh speakers in the Welsh colony, y Wladfa, in Patagonia, Argentina, yr Ariannin, and in varying numbers across England, Lloegr, Scotland, yr Alban, Canada, the USA, yr Unol Daleithiau, Australia, and New Zealand, Seland Newydd.

However, if I removed the English definitions, would it still be a mystery to you? I assume you are not one of those 582,000 people in Wales or the several thousand in Patagonia.

The “Mind of God”

The “Mind of God” is essentially the Cosmic Mind, symbolized by some cultures as a Lotus Flower. This flower, with its unfolded and refolded petals, mirrors the cyclic nature of the universe, just as it grows in a swampy, muddy environment, symbolizing that cosmic beauty can emerge from its opposite.

Similar examples can be found in the flower world, such as the humble English daisy, which reflects cosmic energies through its structure.

So you see, mystery is merely the inability to grasp all meaning at once. It is layered and unfolds for you when you are ready.

Unexplained Things Seem Unexplained Until Explained

Unexplained things seem mysterious until they are explained. It is easier to understand than to say.

Many things remain unexplained until someone takes a fresh look and finds a relatively simple solution. We often wonder, “Why didn't I think of that?”

Explaining It as an Irony

I explain it as an ironic statement. The meaning is that unexplained things seem mysterious because humans have a desire to understand objects and phenomena to cope with them. Until we can explain them, our lack of knowledge feels significant and, in some cases, ominous. However, at some point, someone has a moment of insight, and we can explain what was previously mysterious.
