Lack of Aroma

One of the easiest ways to identify artificially ripened bananas is by their lack of the sweet, fruity aroma that naturally ripened bananas emit. If a banana smells slightly off or does not have the sweet scent of ripened fruit, it may have been artificially ripened.

Texture
