Does God Really Speak to People Audibly?

I used to believe that God could communicate with me through an audible voice. During my 40s, I decided to meditate and began asking for God's voice. One day, I was answered almost like a thunderclap—a voice that sounded just like my name. It was a nicknames I use commonly.

Unveiling the Truth

Initially, the voice was clear and distinct, but over the years, it started to sound different, almost like a man's voice. It began to claim that it was my guide and teacher. However, after a few years, the voice shifted, becoming extremely dark and sinister. It became messy and I realized I had been deceived.

Based on my personal experience, I don't recommend seeking to hear God's voice. I was too naive to understand the dangers of those spirits that can impersonate anyone. In retrospect, I believe that day, the spirit I heard was not God but a malevolent entity.

Alternative Forms of Communication

God uses alternative methods of communication to reach us. One of these methods includes using other people. God can place you in a conversation where you can hear the words He wants you to hear. These conversations are not necessarily directed at you intentionally. Additionally, God can also speak to us through our thoughts, in the second person, and we interpret it as 'hearing' it inside our minds.

It is essential to be cautious with any voice in the first person, as these are often satanic and not divine. Dreams, on the other hand, can be a different form of communication, though the exact mechanism behind it remains a mystery.

He wrote in walls and in stone, and His words have been translated as 'in our hearts' because, in essence, these are emotions and thoughts that our mind interprets. These messages are said to be 'audible' to individuals and often use their own accent and vocabulary.
